Requirements for Registered Jin Shin Do®Acupressurists (Practitioners)
To apply to be a Registered Jin Shin Do® Acupressurist you must complete the following:
- 250 hrs of course work (Module 1, 150 hours; Module 2, 100 hours)
- Module 3 (for AOBTA) or 125 logged experience hours
- 10 private sessions with a registered Acupressurist
- A practical exam
- Compliance with local licensing requirements for bodywork.
Requirements for Authorized Jin Shin Do®Teachers
Authorized Teachers for Basic JSD must:
- be Registered JSD Acupressurists;
- attend Module II, Part 2, twice
- attend the Trancework and Trauma Class (Module IV Parts 1 and 2) with Iona Teeguarden
- attend the Intensive Teacher Training Program with Iona Teeguarden
- log 300 hours of experience
- assist 2 Basic JSD Classes with an Authorized teacher
- pass a practical exam
- write a 12-page paper verifying understanding and including 4 case stories.
Teachers for Intermediate JSD must
- fulfill all of the above
- increase experience hours to 600 and at least 2 years of JSD practice
- teach at least 3 Basic Classes
- assist 2 Intermediate classes with an Authorized Teacher
- pass a practical exam with an Authorized Intermediate Teacher.
Authorized Teachers for Advanced JSD must
- complete a special project
- pass a practical exam by Iona Teeguarden
- assist 2 Advanced JSD Classes.
