Requirements for Registered Jin Shin Do®Acupressurists (Practitioners)
To apply to be a Registered Jin Shin Do® Acupressurist you must complete the following:
  • 250 hrs of course work (Module 1, 150 hours; Module 2, 100 hours)
  • Module 3 (for AOBTA) or 125 logged experience hours
  • 10 private sessions with a registered Acupressurist
  • A practical exam
  • Compliance with local licensing requirements for bodywork.

Requirements for Authorized Jin Shin Do®Teachers
Authorized Teachers for Basic JSD
must:
  • be Registered JSD Acupressurists;
  • attend Module II, Part 2, twice
  • attend the Trancework and Trauma Class  (Module IV Parts 1 and 2) with Iona Teeguarden
  • attend the Intensive Teacher Training Program with Iona Teeguarden
  • log 300 hours of experience
  • assist 2 Basic JSD Classes with an Authorized teacher
  • pass a practical exam
  • write a 12-page paper verifying understanding and including 4 case stories.

Teachers for Intermediate JSD must
  • fulfill all of the above
  • increase experience hours to 600 and at least 2 years of JSD practice
  • teach at least 3 Basic Classes
  • assist 2 Intermediate classes with an Authorized Teacher
  • pass a practical exam with an Authorized Intermediate Teacher.

Authorized Teachers for Advanced JSD must
  • complete a special project
  • pass a practical exam by Iona Teeguarden
  • assist 2 Advanced JSD Classes.
