Theories and techniques necessary for effective practice of JSD Acupressure, beginning with 45 main JSD points, progressing to over 200
important points, and correlating point location with anatomy.  Exact angle of point stimulation is emphasized. Students begin to practice by
following release examples and later  learn to improvise based on tension patterns devoted to demonstration and practice.  Required for
practitioner registration. Classes may be taken individually for self-help.(150 Hours)

Meridian theory.  The Six Divisions.  Basic peer counseling skills  for processing feelings.   Location and psycho-physical associations of the 12
meridians.  Location of 60 additional points in relation to surrounding anatomy.  Defense mechanisms and defensive attitudes related to yang
meridians;  emotional spectra related to yin meridians. Transformation of Qi.  Zang/Fu theory.  Meridian release patterns. Specific point
combinations for energic problems.  Legal-ethical issues. Building trust.  Assessment of tense segments. Basic pulse reading. Use of local-distal
point combinations of appropriate meridians.  (55 hours)

Introduction to "Five Elements" theory of energic inter-relationships and bodymind application to energic and muscular imbalance.  The "Emotional
Kaleidoscope."  Mu, Shu, 5 Element, "Windows of the Sky", Source and Luo points.  Application  of 5 Elements theory to energic and muscular
hypoactivity or hyperactivity.  Pulse reading.    Point palpation to assess energic imbalance (Yu, Mu and Windows of the Sky).  Planning
interventions to restore bodymind energy balance.  (30 hours)

Body Mind Awareness
Prerequisite: None
The purpose of this class is to increase comfort with feelings and images which may arise during sessions. Empathy.  Active Listening.
Communication skills.   The power of words; conscious and unconscious levels of communication.  Using the suggestive form.   Accepting,
encouraging and following the process. Understanding the therapeutic relationship:  transference and counter-transference.  Ethics. Confidentiality.
Implications of touch and questions of intimacy. (25 hours)

This class provides an opportunity to review point locations and angles, and to integrate the material of Module I, plus an in-depth study of Strange
Flows, Organ Meridians, Zang/Fu, Segments and Five Phases, along with additional theories and special point groups.  The bodymind focus of this
class varies from teacher to teacher.  
Parts may be taken in any order. (100 hours)
Taught by Authorized JSD teachers.
NOTE: For Acupressurist Registration, students are required to complete Module II, Parts 1 and 2, before applying.   Part 3 may be completed after
registration, if necessary. Students applying to the Intensive Teacher Training Program will be required to complete Module II, Part 2  with Iona
Teeguarden, even if they have previously completed a Module II approved by the Jin Shin Do¨ Foundation. They will also be required to complete a
Bodymind Awareness Trancework Class (25 hours) and Bodymind Trancework and Trauma (25 hours) with Iona.

Part 1: Integration of Key Theories (30 Hours)
 A)  In-depth study of Strange Flows, emphasizing their function and including over 150 Strange Flows points, most of which were introduced in
          Module I.  Practice: new SF release patterns. (21 hours)
 B) Integration of Strange Flow, Meridian and Segmental theories in assessment and point combinations. Special powerful point groups:      
         Entry/exit points: general and group lo points; the 8 meeting points, associated points, combining points; etc. (14 hours)
